0.4mm Nozzle for Creality CR-10S Pro/CR10 Max

Creality 3D are a fantastic company that simply keeps on advancing with seemingly no resistance, and with very few competitors that can match the incredible value for money that Creality 3D Printers offer. However, with the Creality CR-10S Pro/CR10 Max, Creality decided to utilise a slightly different type of nozzle with M6x0.75 threading, which should theoretically improve heat transfer capabilities due to the higher surface area of the threading, but has become a bit frustrating for users looking for compatible nozzles and upgrades.

Fortunately, we love 3D Printing, and we understand just how annoying it can be to have a fully working machine but no nozzle to make it function. Despite being one of the smallest parts on the entire printer, the nozzle is fundamental for operation — and there are no easy alternatives. This is why we strive to stock spares like the 0.4mm Nozzle for CR-10S Pro, as well as the upgraded 0.4mm Micro Swiss CR-10S Pro Nozzle, so that you can both replace worn components and upgrade your machine for better print quality or broader functionality.

Technical Specifications:

  • Base Material: Brass
  • Filament Compatibility: 1.75mm
  • Output Diameter: 0.4mm
  • Thread Diameter: M6x0.75 (CR-10S Pro / Pro V2 & CR-10 MAX)
  • Hotend Compatibility: Creality CR-10S Pro Stock Hotend

Typical Applications:

These CR-10S Pro Nozzles are 0.4mm in size — the most common standard in 3D printing. They offer a great balance between speed and detail. For larger prints or faster output, consider upgrading to a larger nozzle. If you’re printing miniatures or intricate designs like jewellery or keyrings, a smaller nozzle such as 0.2mm or 0.3mm is better. For general-purpose printing, however, 0.4mm is ideal and widely preferred by Makers.

Quick Guide: Changing Your Nozzle

To swap nozzles safely and ensure optimal thermal contact, use the hot tightening technique:

  1. Loosen the heatbreak from the heatsink by about half a turn to prevent torque transfer.
  2. Heat your hotend to 285°C. Do not overshoot to avoid damaging the thermistor.
  3. Remove the old nozzle and insert the new one.
  4. Grip the heater block firmly and tighten the new nozzle carefully, avoiding pressure on the heatbreak.
  5. Turn off the heater and allow the system to cool.
  6. Once cooled, re-tighten the heatbreak into the heatsink and check for any loose parts.
